My teaching approach for Algebra is centered on exponential and logarithmic functions and their applications. I begin with laws of exponents, including multiplication, division, power of a power, zero and negative exponents, and fractional exponents. I then introduce logarithms, including definition, laws of logarithms, change of base formula, and solving exponential and logarithmic equations. I cover applications of exponential functions in population growth, compound interest, radioactive decay, and carbon dating. I also teach applications of logarithmic functions in pH scale, Richter scale, and sound intensity. I use step-by-step derivations and provide plenty of practice problems. I use real-world data to make the subject relevant and interesting. I provide detailed notes, formula sheets, and practice worksheets. I assign homework that includes both routine problems and application-based questions. I conduct weekly quizzes to track progress. I maintain a progress log and adjust my teaching pace based on individual needs. My goal is to help you master exponents and logarithms and apply them confidently.
