About Michael
It was not until late in my academic career that I realized the importance of discipline in studying. Once my study habits improved, I began to look forward to studying. Learning a subject became a goal of mastering something important which could benefit me later. I try to impress this lesson on my students.

About the lesson

I am interested in reaching every student in my classes. I explain the importance of the subject (the Why?) so as to motivate those students who cannot "connect" with understanding the course material. Many students do not care for math, just as some students tire with learning to conjugate verbs in Spanish or French. In both cases, it is a matter of practice and memorization.
