About Oscar
Hello! My name is Oscar, and I am passionate about helping people learn Spanish in a practical, friendly, and supportive way.
I believe that learning a language should be an enjoyable experience, not something that feels intimidating. My goal is to help students feel comfortable using Spanish, ask questions without hesitation, and build confidence step by step.
As a tutor, I focus on making lessons clear, engaging, and adapted to each student's needs. Whether you are starting from zero, looking to improve your conversation skills, or simply want to feel more confident speaking Spanish, I will work with you to make your learning experience useful and enjoyable.

I believe learning Spanish should be practical, engaging, and adapted to each student's needs. My goal is to help students develop the confidence to communicate in Spanish while building a strong foundation in vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and listening.
I use a student-centered approach, combining conversation, real-life examples, guided practice, and clear explanations. I adapt my teaching techniques to the student's level, learning goals, and preferred pace. Whether you want to learn Spanish for travel, work, school, or everyday communication, I focus on making each lesson useful and relevant to your life.
My methodology combines **communication-based learning** with structured language practice. I believe students learn best when they understand how and why the language works, and then have the opportunity to use it.
Depending on the student's needs, I use:
* Conversation practice** to develop fluency and confidence.
* Grammar explanations** with simple, practical examples.
* Vocabulary building** focused on useful words and everyday expressions.
* Pronunciation practice** to improve clarity and natural communication.
* Listening exercises** using realistic conversations and situations.
* Reading and writing activities** to strengthen comprehension and accuracy.
*Personalized exercises** based on the student's interests, goals, and areas for improvement.
I also encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes. Mistakes are a natural and necessary part of learning, and I use them as opportunities to improve.
Each lesson is adapted to the student's level and objectives, but a typical 60-minute class may include:
*1. Warm-up and conversation — 5–10 minutes*
A short conversation in Spanish to review previous material and help the student feel comfortable using the language.
*2. Introduction to the topic — 10 minutes*
We introduce new vocabulary, grammar, or a communication skill related to the student's goals.
*3. Guided practice — 15–20 minutes*
We work through examples, exercises, and questions to make sure the student understands the material.
*4. Practical application — 15–20 minutes*
The student uses what they have learned through conversation, role-play, reading, or another activity.
*5. Review and next steps — 5 minutes*
We review the main points, identify areas to practice, and establish a clear objective for the next lesson.
My priority is that students leave each class feeling that they have learned something useful and can apply it in a real situation.
