About Nia
I began dancing in a studio and grew up in the studio until I graduated high school. It was community-based doing local performances and I did competitive dance as well traveling around the states. I was an assistant teacher during my time there and loved teaching. I became a professional dancer in New York City as well as studying at my college all genres of Dance and graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. I began teaching officially and have continued five years later.

My lessons include learning different words and languages in the dance world, as well as an extensive learning process of how each genre started. Each class will start with a land acknowledgment and a warm-up, a technique process in that genre of dance and learning choreography to help my students adapt to learning quicker and easier. This class is about learning and finding your joy for dance!
