About Taylor
I am a pilot by trade with a BS in Aeronautics. During my time at university I spent 4 years learning languages to better connect with my friends on my sports teams. I learned a good deal of Mandarin, Japanese, Swedish, and Arabic during that time. I found that I have a passion for language and focused heavily on the writing aspects of those languages. I was fascinated by Chinese and Japanese specifically. I have a strong working knowledge of thousands of Kanji/Hanzi and I love to teach people the basics about them.

I like to teach people about this subject by first showing what needs to be learned, demonstrating it, then helping the student learn and practice it. With this subject specifically it is very important to master the basics such as stroke order, and constructional theory of Kanji/Hanzi first. Then learning memorization techniques involved with learning them. Then lastly, practicing writing and reading them until they are second nature.
