About Lanny

I am a current undergraduate student at the University of Melbourne studying music, and I have been playing piano for almost my whole life. I am currently at an AMUS AMEB level and take each of my students seriously. I am very patient and easy to talk to with all sorts of people. For pianists who are looking to just play for fun, my aim is to teach you to a level that you yourself are able to play what you want from the music sheet. For those who are looking to play AMEB (a path many young pianists choose to take) I will be teaching everything the exams require, so that you can blow the exams away! If there are any questions please don't hesitate to reach out!

About the lesson

My piano lessons focus on teaching you how to learn piano. Instead of teaching you basic songs and boring notes, I will be teaching you how to be free. What does that mean? It means that I will be teaching you the basics you need to play what you want. From the practical finger positioning to the theory of how to read music sheets. For students looking to go AMEB, my many years of experience mean that I can have you passing with flying colors. So whether you're playing for fun or are looking to do grades, I would love to share my love of piano with you!

Honestly one of the best tutors I have met. Lanny is professional in everything she does and really takes time out of her day to plan each session for each student so that she makes sure every student is focusing on their own personal problems that need to be improved. I have never felt uncomfortable learning with her and it doesn't ever feel like I'm being put on the spot like with some of my other tutors. Really recommend!!!
