About Douglas
I taught French for a few years. Now I'm a historian that regularly uses French in my research and travel. I have three degrees (BA, MA, Ph.D.) all in history, but my minor in college was French. I learned the language to facilitate my historical research.

I know the pitfalls and problems that English speaking people can have while learning French. I tackle these issues while teaching. I use the total immersion method in teaching with stops for explanation in English. So I will introduce a concept, speak French, then further explain the concept in English. As time goes on, we will speak less and less English.
