About the lesson

Hello future students ~

My name is Samantha L. Calmes, otherwise known as Vinyl Tapestries. My teaching method is based on a wholistic, mindful approach as the foundation of everything that we're striving to build upon, starting with the breath. My techniques are derived from years learning and teaching.

A typical lesson would start with your recap on the week, highlights, nuggets of inspiration, fears, share where ever you're at, singing successes and failures. I want know each week how you pushed the boundary in getting out of your comfort zone. We'll then lead into a 5-7 Minute Warm-up, introduction new technique, and finally application of all techniques as we collectively work out the weak edges of your song and performance while simultaneously placating to your strengths.

What are your goals in music? How can I support your evolution?

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to be transparent and authentic with my process, my flow and journey as an artist. I inspire my students to embody the now and be seen as an ever unfolding flower of light and love and sometimes we're here to purge the darkness and channel it accordingly. I inspire my students to activate their voices and passion like a bursting ray of light across the grey fallen sky.

These activations are for those who are ready to access the next level of their authenticity as well as those who are interested in gaining a sounding board and supportive mentor when coming to terms with the culmination of your style and brand. These classes are not for the faint of heart and require fierce commitment as you let go and meld into your next dimension of full-expression.
