About Saifennasr
I come from a person-centered orientation, as a mental health clinician with a master's in Psychology, as well as a degree in Japanese Language and Literature. I love to share my enthusiasm for the language and the culture, but I am also focused on getting you, the student, to understand, read, write, and speak the language with proficiency. As a polyglot who speaks more than ten languages, I understand the difficulties in learning languages. But I may also have some insights into how to get you to best understand them. Let’s get ready to work!!

I began studying the Japanese language in 1990 because of my love of anime and martial arts. Little did I know that that would lead me to major in the language, go to grad school in Japan, translate Manga, and even end up teaching martial arts in Japan every year. The cherry on top was appearing on Japanese television multiple times, both in shows and commercials.
I’m excited to help my students experience similar rewarding experiences by learning Japanese Language and Culture!!!
