About Jessica
I have a Certificate in Voice Performance from the Boston Conservatory and 8 years of experience teaching singing to American students of all ages and backgrounds. I understand American musical culture and can help you develop your voice in whatever style interests you most, from country and folk to pop and R&B. I've worked with students preparing for American school musicals, talent competitions, college auditions, and professional singing careers. My teaching methods include immediate vocal coaching during lessons, which research shows helps singers develop proper technique much faster than waiting for feedback. I've helped students perform at American venues ranging from local coffee shops to regional theater productions, and several of my former students are now pursuing music education degrees at American colleges and universities.

Voice lessons focus on helping you develop your own American singing style, whether you're interested in country, pop, rock, R&B, Broadway, or any other genre popular in American music. We start with healthy breathing and posture techniques, then move into songs you actually want to sing - current chart-toppers, classic American hits, or whatever music speaks to you. I show you proper vocal techniques first, then we practice together, and finally you perform while I give you immediate tips to help you sound better right away. If you're interested in learning piano too, I can teach you to play simple chord progressions and melodies that support your singing, just like many successful American singer-songwriters do. We work on building the confidence and stage presence that American performers need, whether you're singing for school talent shows, church groups, community theater, or just for your own enjoyment. I also help you understand the American music industry if you're interested in pursuing music as a hobby or career path.
