About Charmaine
I attended primary and secondary school in Trinidad and Tobago. I obtained my BSc. in Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry. I have over 40 years' worth of experience in my career. Along the way, I have taught and tutored students in Math and Chemistry.

I teach foundational principles. I can tailor one-one instruction to your textbook and your level of understanding of the material.
For example if we have an Algebra problem to solve for x and y, we must have 2 relationships that have been established for the 2 variables to be able to solve. Example:
x + y = 5 and 2x + y =7
Now we can solve for x and y
From x + y = 5, we get that x = 5 - y
Now when we substitute for x in the second relationship, we have:
2(5 - y) + y = 7
10 - 2y + y = 7
If we move the 7 to the left hand side of the equation and the -2y + y to the right hand side of the equation we get
10-7 = 2y -y
3 = y
When we substitute y = 3 to the equation x = 5 - y, then x = 2
Solution x = 2 and y = 3
The tutoring will be geared towards middle and high school students and available times would be after 5:30 pm up to 8 pm on weekdays and 2 pm to 4 pm on Saturdays.
