About Colette
Coding is often more about clear logic than syntax. I admit that I prefer clean code practices to messy shortcuts.
My background in biochemistry at Stanford taught me to value precision above all else. I enjoy teaching students how to think through data structures and complex algorithms.
Python and C++ are my primary tools for demonstrating these concepts. Interview preparation for DSA requires a disciplined mindset.
I help students navigate the hurdles of competitive programming with a calm focus. These sessions are energetic and direct. My goal is to produce developers who understand why their code functions the way it does. You will be ready to tackle real-world challenges by the time we finish.

You will start our first session by analyzing a piece of code that does not quite work. I want to see how you approach debugging and logical flow from the very beginning. My teaching style relies on the 11 years of experience I have gained while instructing 464 students in various programming languages. We will move through object oriented programming concepts and web development topics with a steady pace that favors understanding over speed.
I bring the same rigor to software engineering that I applied during my time at Stanford. Each class concludes with a hands-on mini project designed to test the specific skill we just covered.
These tasks are essential for applying your knowledge in a practical environment. You must demonstrate that you can implement your logic independently before we move on to the next subject. I keep these projects challenging to ensure you maintain high standards for your own work.
