About Suri
Hi, I’m Suri, a Grade 12 student, education nonprofit founder, and psychology tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students feel confident in what they’re learning. I was nationally shortlisted in the John Locke Essay Competition (Psychology), earned a 4 on the AP Psychology exam, and received my school’s Psychology Award.
I understand that psychology can feel overwhelming, so I focus on clear explanations, patience, and building confidence step by step. I aim to create a comfortable, encouraging learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to ask questions.
My goal is to make psychology approachable and help students feel capable, prepared, and proud of their progress.

My tutoring approach is clear, structured, and focused on understanding rather than memorization. As a nationally shortlisted John Locke Essay Competition psychology student, AP Psychology scorer, and a school Psychology Award recipient, I help students break down complex theories into simple, logical frameworks.
Lessons typically include a brief check-in, focused concept explanations, guided practice with exam-style questions, and active recall review. I use real-world examples, comparisons between theories, and proven study strategies to help students retain and apply knowledge confidently.
What sets me apart is my strong academic background in psychology combined with a patient, student-centered teaching style. I understand both how psychology is assessed and how students learn it best.
My lessons are for AP and non-AP high school psychology students (Grades 9–12) who want to improve understanding, grades, and exam performance.
