About Sawyer
I've been helping friends and family with math since 7th grade when math really started to click for me. I understand math better than any subject and have always excelled at it. I do not have work experience, but I love working with elementary schoolers, middle schoolers, and high schoolers. I can teach concepts without doing the math for them and help them prepare for upcoming tests and homework. I'm going into my senior year and will be taking AP Calculus BC the most advanced class available to me. I might not remember every concept from my personal education, but I will learn it and remember quickly and be able to teach it within minutes. I think that learning the concept together is also a valuable form of teaching because it prevents students from feeling like they're not intelligent enough to grasp an idea if their teacher is also learning (even if it's re-learning) it with them.

I've never tutored before, but I've always been a leader within my math classes. I love teaching and have always wanted to. I might be a new tutor, but I will still provide valuable lessons. I hope to earn my employers trust with my work, and if I am not meeting standards I'm always willing to listen and accommodate.
