About Faye
I am currently a PhD student at the University of St Andrews, studying anthropology. For the last 7 years I have worked with children in a number of settings: tutoring, nannying, and teaching computer skills at SEND summer school programmes. I play the clarinet to Grade 8 standard, and played in orchestras at both county and national level. I love to teach, and find 1:1 lessons in particular very rewarding, as the progress in educational ability and confidence that a child can develop in only a short time is incredible!

I approach all subjects and music lessons with the primary aim to make learning fun and enjoyable, working with each child and their adults to find lessons that work for them specifically. I have lots of experience particularly with ages 7-14, and find that with 1:1 support closely tailored to them, every child can flourish, developing more positive attitudes towards schools and education. In an initial session I will focus on assessing where a child is currently working at, and building a strong relationship - the crucial foundation to learning.
