About Isabella
Hi! I’m an 18-year-old university student at the University of St Andrews, and I’m passionate about helping students not only improve academically, but also become more confident in themselves and their abilities.
Throughout my education, I experienced significant health challenges which affected my attendance and, as a result, my grades and confidence. There were times when I really struggled academically and felt like I was falling behind. However, with the support of tuition, as well as teachers who supported me emotionally and encouraged me to keep going, I was able to completely change my mindset towards education.
I went on to achieve an A* in A-level Psychology, an A in Politics and a B in Biology, alongside strong GCSE results, and I received an offer from the University of Cambridge before ultimately choosing to study at St Andrews.
Because I have experienced struggling academically myself, I understand that sometimes a student doesn’t need someone to simply explain the content again. They may need someone to believe in them, encourage them, help them find motivation and show them that they are capable of improving.
That is what I hope to bring to my lessons. I want my students to leave each session feeling more confident, motivated and capable, as well as having a better understanding of the subject. I will always try to make lessons friendly, supportive and tailored to the individual student, because I know first-hand how much of a difference having the right support can make.

My lessons are tailored to each student and focus on making difficult topics feel clear, manageable and easy to remember. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
For GCSE and A-level students, I can help with understanding key content, improving exam technique, structuring answers and essays, and building confidence before exams. I also focus on helping students understand what examiners are looking for, rather than simply memorising information.
I achieved an A* in A-level Psychology, an A in Politics and a B in Biology, alongside strong GCSE results, and I am currently studying at the University of St Andrews. I also received an offer from the University of Cambridge, so I can offer additional guidance on university applications, personal statements and preparing for competitive university admissions.
Whether you are struggling with a particular topic or aiming to push your grades higher, I will adapt each lesson to your individual goals and learning style.
