About Andrew

Hi, I’m Andy, a professional guitar tutor (and unapologetic guitar nerd).

I offer one-to-one lessons that are fully tailored to you, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced player looking to improve.

My focus is simple, help you make real progress and actually enjoy playing guitar.

Lessons can include - Learning songs you want to play - Building solid technique and timing - Understanding theory in a practical, usable way - Improvising and soloing (if that’s your goal) - Working towards grades, or just playing for fun.

If you’ve felt stuck in the past or unsure where to start, I’ll help you move forward with a clear, structured approach, without overcomplicating things.

I have over a decade of teaching experience across private lessons, schools, and colleges, and hold - Grade 8 in Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar & Music Theory - Diploma in Music Performance (Distinction) - BA (Hons).

Lessons are available:
Daytime (Mon–Fri) + evenings
Online or in-person (home studio)

About the lesson

Lessons are bespoke and designed around your needs. I can help you with understanding theory concepts, reading music, writing music, composing, or just learning songs! Whatever your interests are!

I teach most genres of music, though I am particularly well versed in Rock, Indie and Pop styles. I cater for beginners through to more advanced players.

I have daytime availability Monday to Friday as well as evenings, and cater for all abilities, online or in person in my home studio.
