About Emma
I am a first year Arts-Law student majoring in Italian and Psychology. I have studied Italian for 6 years, participated in a language exchange program and achieved a band 6 in the subject, after winning the Italian prize at my school. I have tutored Italian to primary school kids, teaching them about Italian culture and history and helping them through basic Italian vocabulary. I have also had one year of experience tutoring HSC students in the language, testing them with flash cards and practice exams. I now tutor part-time for a company in Canberra

My teaching philosophy is based around generating enthusiasm and a love of learning. I help my students to see the beauty of Italian, with the aim of creating students who take accountability for their learning and who are confident in the classroom, curious to learn more and ready to raise their hand to ask questions. I use simple Italian books, films and songs to engage my students.
