About Bernita
Standing in a bustling Guadalajara market, I realized that language is alive. My 6 years of teaching experience across the US allow me to bridge the gap between textbook Spanish and actual daily communication. I hold an MA Applied Linguistics from Boston College, which grounds my teaching in solid theory.

Admitting I am a stickler for authentic pronunciation is the only way to begin. My methodology relies on the 8.0 standard of precision, ensuring every sound you make reflects native fluency.
My degree from Boston College informs how I break down complex structures. Weekly conversation practice recordings are reviewed together during our time to ensure progress.
We cover the same rigor used to prep students for AP 5s and DELE C1 exams. Practice is essential.
