About Mehnaz
I have a lot of experience with students who are preparing for GCSE exams and are beginning to think about their A levels. As a part of a mentoring scheme with a high school near my home, I tutor students with predicted grades of A*-Bs however can also provide help to those working at a lower grade. The students who I have helped have achieved their minimum expected grades, with many of them exceeding what they even thought possible!

I study Biology, Physics and Chemistry at A level as well as taking an Extended Project Qualification and am offering to teach all three at GCSE and AS level, along with GCSE English Literature and Language. I believe that my experience teaching both young children and teenagers has allowed me to adapt different styles of teaching depending on how the tutee best responds. It is my belief that anyone can learn Science and English if they have a basic understanding of the topics and are able to approach new subjects in different ways. As I have recently been through the exam process myself, I can easily relate to the difficulties that come with revision and hope to offer very helpful tips that will allow students to fly through the exam season. An example of one method I usually use with students is practice questions. After learning a small section of a topic I will provide the student with summary questions, which are followed by exam style questions. By doing so, I am able to identify which areas of the topic they struggle with, as well as see how good their exam techniques are. This will allow me to target any weaknesses and hopefully improve on them.
