About Charlotte
I’m an enthusiastic and approachable online maths tutor with a degree in Economics and A-Levels in Maths and Further Maths (including statistics, mechanics, pure and decision mathematics). I’ve always loved maths, and I enjoy helping students feel confident and calm with the subject- especially if they’ve found it daunting in the past. I have experience supporting students with a range of different learning styles and I adapt my teaching approach to suit each individual. Whether you’re preparing for the 11+, building strong foundations in Key Stage 3, or working towards your GCSEs, I focus on making maths clear, rewarding, and genuinely enjoyable. Each lesson is tailored to the student, and we can cover a wide range of skills. My lessons are typically one hour and are tailored to the student’s needs. We start by learning or revising a topic together, ensuring full understanding before moving on to practice questions at a range of difficulty levels. I believe the key to success in maths is guided practice and building confidence step by step. With clear explanations, plenty of encouragement, and an emphasis on making lessons enjoyable rather than intimidating, students often find their confidence growing quickly. I tutor all levels up to GCSE maths (including the 11+) and aim to make every lesson approachable, relaxed, and effective. Having maths and further maths A-Level, as well as a degree in Economics, I am aware that practice is a key element in succeeding in maths and with an enthusiastic and comforting tutor this can be enjoyable rather than scary!
