About Josh

I have studied and completed my RIBA Parts 1, 2 & 3 in the UK. I want to be able to share my experience of this process and offer guidance and support, that I had been given during my studies, to those around me. Architecture is a subject which is very hard and covers a wide range of skillsets not all of us are able to pick up so easily, myself included. In our lessons we will be able to pick out strengths & weaknesses and work to develop you into an all-rounder, utilising the skills you already have to improve the others. The process to becoming an Architect is not easy but with our lessons you will be able to navigate the subject a little easier and a little more confidently.

About the lesson

Lessons can be in 30 / 60 minute slots focusing around topics you need support in or want a greater understanding in. Lessons can be for anyone working towards RIBA Part 1 & 2 qualification or Architectural apprenticeships. I have been engaging in outreach with my local university for the past several years to support students in preparing themselves for the workplace with mock interviews and CV support and portfolio design. During my Master's degree I also tutored design classes for the Bachelor's students, helping them craft their design projects and strengthening their work. I am well placed to offer this same guidance and expertise to you. We will work to your pace and focus on your needs targeting areas you want help with most.

Perfect! I had a really helpful lesson with Josh, who supported me with both my essay and the construction detail section. He read through my essay before the session, which meant we didn’t waste any time during the lesson itself. He explained everything really clearly and in detail, but in a simple way that made it easy for me to understand. For the construction detail part, he not only explained what each component was and how it worked, but also sent me useful references afterwards to help me improve. I really appreciated his approach, especially since essays and detailed sections aren’t my strongest areas. This lesson gave me a lot more confidence going forward.

Real positive work presented so far, action the points we have discussed to ensure uni tutors are really aware that you are hitting those learning outcomes. Elevate / improve layout and page margins to ensure clean graphic quality, this will really help with presentation of the overall document. All the best

Josh has extensive experience tutoring and it really shows. He can explain things really well and with passion which makes all the difference, and he is also patient with more difficult material. Josh picks out on tiny details in my work which gives me a chance to edit and achieve higher grades and he also explains the topics on current architecture examples and explains which relevant software is useful to know for which type of work.

I honestly cannot recommed Josh enough, he helped me be where I am today as an architect!
