About Cindy

As a registered Architect with over 20 years of hands-on experience in private practice, I bring real-world insight and proven leadership to every tutoring session. Here's how my professional background enhances the learning experience I offer: On-Site Leadership & Project Management As a Project Architect and Lead Consultant, I’ve overseen projects on-site, ensuring smooth coordination between teams, consultants, and clients. I can offer invaluable guidance on construction phases, technical detailing, and how to handle real-life challenges architects face in the field. Client-Centric Approach Throughout my career, I’ve built and maintained strong, lasting client relationships, consistently delivering design solutions that meet client needs while pushing creative boundaries. I’ll help you develop the soft skills and strategic thinking needed to manage clients professionally and effectively. Mentorship and Team Development I’m passionate about nurturing talent—whether within my own teams or through my work as a Part 3 mentor and examiner with APEAS, and as a former studio tutor at Strathclyde University. I know what it takes to guide students through the emotional highs and lows of architectural education and bring out their best work. Comprehensive Industry Knowledge From resource planning and team management to navigating regulations and staying current with technical, statutory, and design innovations, I bring a wide-angle view of the profession that bridges the gap between school and practice. Structured, Supportive Learning My sessions are not just about reviewing your work—they're about helping you grow, stay focused, and develop habits and thinking patterns that prepare you for Part 1, 2, or 3 success. I offer clarity on expectations, insight into professional standards, and real empathy for the challenges you face. Holistic and Practical Tutoring Style Whether you need support with design development, technical submissions, CV and portfolio prep, or Part 3 case study reviews, I help you plan ahead, manage your time and resources effectively, and deliver work that meets—and exceeds—expectations.

Perfect! I had a great experience with Cindy, which massively boosted my confidence ahead of my Part 3 Interview. She answered all the questions I had about the my written submissions and helped fill gaps in my knowledge, especially where I hadn’t yet gained workplace experience or didn’t feel confident asking in a work setting. I’d highly recommend her, and only wish I’d started with her sooner!
