About Simon
My journey into architecture began with a fascination for how spaces influence human behavior, emotion, and movement. This curiosity led me to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) in Architectural Design, where I developed a strong foundation in design theory, technical drawing, and conceptual development. Over the past 9 years, I have worked closely with students at different stages of learning, helping them transform uncertainty into clarity through supportive, structured guidance. I believe architecture education should feel inspiring rather than intimidating. My teaching style emphasizes patience, openness, and adaptability, allowing students to explore ideas freely while maintaining clear structure. I focus on helping learners understand the reasoning behind design decisions, encouraging independent thinking and creative confidence rather than imitation or rigid rules. Outside of teaching, I continue to engage with architecture through design research, urban studies, sustainability exploration, and concept sketching. These ongoing interests help me bring fresh perspectives into lessons and connect theory with real-world practice. Teaching architecture is deeply fulfilling for me because I witness students discover their creative voice and learn to communicate complex ideas with confidence and purpose.

Intermediate learners explore conceptual development, site analysis, material logic, and model-based thinking. Advanced students work on refining design narratives, developing portfolios, improving presentation clarity, and preparing for academic reviews or professional paths. Step-by-step guidance ensures students never feel overwhelmed while steadily gaining confidence.
Architecture lessons also support broader personal growth. Students develop patience, attention to detail, and the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
