About Iris
My interest in Architecture began with observing how spaces influence human experience and behavior. This led me to pursue a B.Arch in Sustainable Architecture, where I studied design principles, spatial planning, and environmentally conscious practices. Over 7 years of teaching, I have developed a structured, patient, and supportive approach that encourages both creativity and technical skill. I tailor lessons to individual learning styles using sketches, model-making, and conceptual discussions. I encourage experimentation, reflection, and iterative improvement, guiding students to develop a unique design voice. Outside teaching, I engage with design research, urban planning, and sustainable architectural projects. Integrating these experiences into lessons keeps them relevant, practical, and inspiring. Witnessing students gain confidence, creativity, and mastery in architectural design is profoundly fulfilling.

Architecture becomes exciting when students are encouraged to combine creativity with technical reasoning. My lessons cover sketching, 3D modeling, spatial planning, material selection, and sustainable design principles. I emphasize conceptual clarity, design thinking, and problem-solving, helping learners approach projects with confidence. Each session combines structured guidance with imaginative exploration, allowing students to translate abstract ideas into functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.
Lesson plans are adapted to skill levels. Beginners focus on basic sketches, perspective, and proportion, while intermediate learners develop modeling skills, structural understanding, and design integration. Advanced students refine presentation techniques, portfolio development, and sustainable design strategies. Practical exercises, critique, and discussion ensure progressive skill-building and mastery of creative and technical abilities.
Architecture lessons foster spatial awareness, design thinking, and visual communication. Students gain confidence in translating ideas into meaningful designs and developing a personal architectural style. My goal is to cultivate both creativity and technical competence, empowering learners to approach design challenges thoughtfully and effectively.
