About Sofia
"To be honest, I spent most of my life on opera stages before I fully embraced the guitar. My formal training involves an MMus Vocal Performance degree which taught me how to break down complex theory for any instrument.
I have 7 years of teaching experience behind me now. I currently work with teens and absolute beginners who want to master blues progressions or improvisation. You will find that I bring a disciplined yet energetic perspective to every student interaction.
My classical background informs how I teach acoustic technique and power chords to performance focused students. I am here to help you navigate the fretboard with confidence. Sincerely, your guide to musical clarity."

"Your initial session involves playing through a song you actually want to learn. Most students realise that guitar maintenance and tuning are far simpler than they first imagined. We will look at your favourite tracks and I will turn those song requests into simplified arrangements that match your skill level. You will spend time on electric technique and soloing if that is your focus.
I keep things moving at a pace that feels productive for your level. It is important to me that you feel capable of practising alone between our meetings. I demonstrate the proper mechanics for every chord shape we cover.
We can adjust the difficulty of these arrangements as you improve. This is how we build a strong foundation for your future playing."
