Holding a BA Music degree from my time in Trois-Rivieres, I have spent 13 years immersed in chanson francaise. You might wonder why a songwriter is teaching you, but I find that languages are best captured through rhythm and melody. I have navigated the intricacies of folk music for 13 years.
It is a blast to break down the barriers of a new language using the songs that define a culture. Seeing students finally grasp a complex phrase brings me more joy than any stage performance.
