About Maria
I started swimming when I was 5 years old, competed professionally in racing swimming for 15 years, being champion in the 50-meter butterfly and 200-meter butterfly when I was 16 years old. After that, I left the professional part but always continued swimming, until 3 years ago I started to practice a new sport called underwater rugby. I have been practicing swimming for more than 25 years and I have had the opportunity to teach children from 12 years and older to older adults. I have been linked to sports all my life, especially water sports. It is a lifestyle for me that I enjoy sharing with people who have the same enthusiasm for them.
