About Margaret
"Stepping into your first session, you will find yourself standing comfortably as we begin a gentle, guided breath assessment to establish your baseline. We observe how your body reacts to simple melodic lines before shifting into specific warm up exercises that set a positive tone.
Drawing from 10 years of experience, I integrate sight singing and articulation drills that feel like an organic part of the process. I share recorded warm up routines for your daily home practice so you can maintain momentum between our meetings. This consistency allows us to track your progress effectively while keeping your vocal health a top priority. We focus on building performance confidence by applying technique to songs that genuinely interest you.
By keeping the atmosphere playful, I ensure you feel safe to experiment with new sounds. Every minute of our time together is dedicated to refining your ability to express yourself through song. You will finish our sessions feeling refreshed and more capable than when you arrived."

"Completing a Master of Music in Voice at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama gave me a rigorous foundation in classical technique. Does it feel daunting to start your journey into singing when you have been away from it for a while?
I support a variety of students including choristers and classical vocalists who want to refine their artistry. Throughout my 10 years of experience, I have developed a deep appreciation for the unique challenges faced by absolute beginners and hobbyists. My teaching philosophy centres on building a sustainable instrument through focused work on breath control and vocal health. We can explore pitch control and range extension in a way that feels accessible and grounded.
Whether you are addressing head and chest voice transitions or simply want to improve your diction, I am here to help you navigate those technical hurdles. My approach stays light and encouraging, ensuring the process remains enjoyable for everyone. You might find that mastering these fundamental skills transforms how you feel about your own voice. I am ready to help you reach your goals."
