About Katherine
Confidence grows when your hands finally master those difficult barre chords and strumming patterns. You will find that my lessons prioritize rhythm guitar and ear training as foundational tools. Having a Bachelor of Fine Arts means I view the instrument through a lens of technical discipline and creative expression.

Music performance started as a rigorous academic pursuit before shifting into the practical world of teaching. I have worked with 173 students over my 13 years in the field. This includes everyone from kids starting their first instrument to advanced adult hobbyists. My background involves teaching electric technique, chord transitions, and music theory.
I appreciate how music helps people find their footing when they are new to a country. My teaching style is quite methodical and friendly, ensuring that you feel steady as you learn to navigate the fretboard.
