About Swathy
I have been a Yoga practitioner for over 15 years. After completing 500 hour YTT I have been teaching yoga since 2017 under the banner of Sattvic Yoga. Sattvic is a yogic ‘guna’ that describes qualities like sincere, righteous, simple, honest and pure. I teach traditional yoga and strive to practice a Sattvic lifestyle. I believe in staying away from extremes and doing everything in moderation. I consider myself a student of Yoga always and feel fortunate to have been trained by Gurus in Krishnamacha Yoga Mandiram as well as Asana Andiappan School of Yoga. Benefits of Yoga are far reaching and go beyond physical and mental wellbeing. It’s about finding your true inner self. Yoga is transformative and and regular practice helps you become more accepting and compassionate.

My first step is to understand YOU - your fitness level, your goals, limitations and mostly what you expect from the class. Yoga sequences will be developed based on your needs, keeping in mind your limitations. Ex - Chair Yoga for seniors. Pranayama (breath work) will be incorporated in every class. We can talk as much about yoga philosophy as you are interested. Practice YOGA consistently to achieve a fit body and strong mind.

The first one hour free session is to assess your needs, and based on that I can share basic set of poses that you can practice by yourself everyday.
You can decide to schedule further private sessions with me whenever you feel the need. My goal is to help you feel healthy in the mind, body and soul.
