About Christopher
Structure is the secret to good music because it stops you from wandering aimlessly on the fretboard. I teach by breaking down lead guitar and fingerpicking so they actually make sense to your ears. We can take your favorite song requests and turn them into simplified arrangements that you can play today. This is helpful for self-taught players who feel stuck in a rut.
You will see how music theory applies to performance-focused pieces without any boring drills. I also spend time on ear training and maintenance to keep your gear in top shape.

Playing in the chanson circuit for 13 years naturally led me to pick up the guitar to accompany my own voice. Having no formal training forced me to learn the instrument from the ground up by listening to the masters.
I earned my stripes on stage while building a reputation as a self-taught player who understands the struggle of finding structure. Teaching 81 students has given me a new appreciation for the diverse ways people interpret chords and rhythm. My 10 years of experience in the field allow me to simplify complex ideas for those who are returning to the instrument. My house is always open to students who want to talk shop over a coffee.
