About Shankar

Qualification wise, I am a Physics Graduate with a Ten-year Public-School Background from Lawrence School, Lovedale.

I have over 15 years management experience in various corporate sectors that includes, Finance, Investment, Feasibility Studies, Marketing, Product Research & Development, Project Management, Strategic Planning, Health Services, Human Resources, before I found my passion in writing.

I also have over 15 years’ experience in writing content, articles, blog posts and other content across multiple verticals.

I am proficient in content marketing, e-commerce marketing , digital marketing, copy writing, SEO and SMM. Am also a self-employed stock market trader.

About the lesson

Language courses can be really boring! When students don’t like the language, they get demotivated and so do the teachers. This occurs rather frequently. In other words, students generally feel that why does one have to learn English when they know the native language and another local language.

But it doesn’t have to be that way! There are so many fun ways to learn the English Language. You are only limited by your own imagination!

I provide language coaching in both oral and written English in either American or UK English, or in neutral accent.

I try and teach using the audio-lingual and communicative language teaching (CLT) method, where the student/ learner is able to communicate effectively and appropriately in the various situations he/ she would be likely to find themselves in. I then would also apply the natural approach, which stresses the similarities between learning the first and second languages.

I can help you to not only gain confidence in your English-speaking abilities, but we can together work on your vocabulary and pronunciation through conversational practice.

This can be a great and fun way to learn how to clearly communicate and express yourself in English. I generally use the video interactions, book reading, watching of movies and reviewing the students’ knowledge of same, and to think , talk and dream in English.

My areas of expertise are Correct Pronunciation, Accent Correction, Grammar and Vocabulary Enrichment, fine-tuning your reading, listening, and writing skills, that will vastly improve your English communication skills.

I can also help you with your Business English and Interview preparation and can offer you or your children a fun filled tutoring sessions in written and spoken English

Lastly to be fluent in English you need practice, and it will come with time.

Yes, fees will largely depend on the knowledge of the language of the student and how he / she can absorb the teaching procedure. Am only happy to teach students who are a bit handicapped in the learning process and shall try all methods to help them learn.
