About Monique
Across 11 years of coaching, I have found that technical clarity serves the music best, which is why my BMus training at the Australian National Academy of Music centers on rigorous mechanics. I balance my instruction between the intellectual side of sight transposition and ear training and the physical realities of posture and hand position, ensuring that every student develops the habits necessary for professional performance. It is rewarding to guide a student through the complexities of memorization techniques and intricate scales, helping them navigate the nuances of pedaling technique alongside standard classical repertoire. Whether tackling complex music theory or improving basic sight playing, I remain focused on the small movements.
