About Isla
"A BFA Musical Theater degree provides the foundation for my teaching methodology. I sit at the piano bench, waiting for you to strike that first awkward chord. I have 13 years of experience working with kids, adults, and intermediate players. Helping 381 students find their musical voice remains a highlight of my career.
Many self-taught players come to me wanting better structure. I enjoy watching people discover how to read music with ease. You might find me a helpful guide for your musical journey."

"Feeling stuck on scales is common for many developing musicians. Actually, the most complex pieces are just patterns waiting to be decoded. My BFA training gives me a unique way to teach jazz improvisation and chord voicing.
We work on memorisation techniques and dynamics to make your playing expressive. Sight reading becomes a natural process after we refine your rhythm. I apply my 13 years of experience to every session to ensure steady progress.
You will learn to use the piano as a tool for storytelling. Let us get to work on your performance goals."
