"If you are a nervous beginner or a student preparing for grade exams, you will find a clear path here. Having taught 253 students over 13 years, I understand the unique challenges of learning rhythm and timing.
My degree from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal informs how I approach ear training and tuning by ear. I prioritize proper posture and hold before moving into sight reading or vibrato. "Admittedly, the first few minutes are often about finding the right comfort level. My 13 years of experience allow me to detect small tension issues that hinder your sound immediately. We then move into a structured routine that balances technical exercises with melodic pieces. A monthly progress report shared with parents ensures everyone stays informed about your development.
You will spend time on bow control and left hand mechanics to gain stability. This process helps you transition from basic notes to confident performance.
I stay present to guide your progress throughout the entire hour. We refine your technique through gentle corrections and consistent encouragement. The goal is to build your confidence until you are ready for the stage."
