About Kia
"Holding an MMus from the New England Conservatory, I approach language learning with the same precision I apply to my music. You will find that my lessons are practical and rooted in real world application.
Having taught 133 students, I have seen how language barriers disappear through steady, disciplined practice. My background includes navigating both Latin American and Castilian variants, grammar, vocabulary building, verb conjugation, accent and intonation, interview preparation, idioms, expressions, everyday phrases, cultural context, and role play. "Your diagnostic level test happens immediately so we can map out a custom path forward. We walk through your current ability in our first meeting to build a plan that suits your exact needs. My conservatory training ensures our sessions are structured, focusing on the nuance of accent and intonation through consistent dialogue practice. We work on your ability to use everyday phrases and complex idioms comfortably in conversation.
I find that the most enjoyable part of the process is watching students move from hesitation to fluid speech. We dedicate time to role play to make sure you feel ready for real conversations. You might find this linguistic discovery quite rewarding."
