About Kimberly
Music lives in the wood and strings of the guitar, and that is where I spend my time. My teaching character is rooted in 13 years of consistent gigging across Nashville and Austin. I am a self-taught player who prioritizes the connection between the instrument and the hands.
You will find that my approach stays grounded in the songs you actually care about playing. I cover everything from reading tabs and acoustic technique to music theory and complex scales. My process helps absolute beginners find their footing while providing advanced players with deep insights into modes and lead guitar.
Maintenance and tuning remain a constant focus during our time together. I promise to keep the theory heavy but the vibe light throughout our journey.

Custom backing tracks serve as the heartbeat of our time together because they allow you to practice lead guitar soloing at home. These tracks represent the core of my teaching philosophy.
I structure our work around your songs and the classics to ensure you see progress in real time. Technique drills are integrated into the music rather than treated as isolated exercises. My 13 years of experience inform every adjustment I make to your posture or fretboard hand placement.
We work through grade exam prep and songwriting mechanics with the same attention to detail. This approach suits performance-focused students as well as those just starting out. You will leave with a clear plan for your next practice session.
