About Amber
"Teaching provides a way to share the auditory patterns that shaped my own musical life. The scent of rosin dust rising from a well-worn bridge reminds me why I started this path. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Belmont University. My 8 years of experience allow me to identify exactly what a student needs to shift their perspective.
It is simple. I have worked with hundreds of musicians to refine their craft through oral tradition. I specialize in helping performance-focused students and returning learners navigate the complexities of bowing technique and tone production. You will find that my approach remains flexible and grounded in the actual mechanics of sound."

"Focusing on the physical rhythm of the music makes the entire process feel like a conversation. Standing in a room with a fiddle in hand creates an immediate connection to the history of the instrument. I integrate my degree from Belmont University into every aspect of our work on scales, arpeggios, and ear training.
We work through the nuances of spiccato and staccato bowing while maintaining a relaxed posture. Classical repertoire becomes approachable when broken down into manageable, melodic sections. You can expect to build a deeper relationship with the music. We will prepare your vibrato and intonation to align with the goals you have set for your playing."
