About Jolene
Reading tabs feels like deciphering a secret code that suddenly turns into beautiful sound under your fingertips. I possess 11 years of experience teaching guitar, during which I have worked with 488 students to refine their fingerpicking and songwriting.
My degree from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal allows me to teach grade exam prep alongside basics like tuning and maintenance. Rhythm guitar is a particular favorite area of mine to cover during our meetings. I simply enjoy the process of watching a student find their specific voice on the fretboard.

Imagine your first session sounding like a coherent melody instead of a jumble of uncertain notes. I start by observing your natural grip on the neck to identify what works and what needs adjustment. My training at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal gives me a technical foundation to help you improve your rhythm guitar or fingerpicking skills. We might pivot to songwriting or exam prep depending on what you need that day.
Keeping the mood calm is how I prefer to run my studio. You will find that I prioritize clarity over speed during our time together. I intend to keep our sessions light and focused on the music itself.
