About Bert
Adult learners often come to me feeling stuck on the journey from a half-finished idea to a complete composition. Having spent 6 years in the industry, I have realized that the real magic happens when you prioritize finishing over seeking perfection. I hold a BS Audio Engineering degree from SAE Institute and apply those technical standards to the creative process.
My focus is on helping you find your own voice through practical application of rhyme schemes and meter. Whether you write pop, country, folk, or R&B, we will clarify your title and concept development.
I guide you through melodic phrasing and lyric writing with a patient, upbeat approach. It is genuinely rewarding to see a student transform a vague chord progression into a structured, dynamic song. Building your confidence is the core of my teaching style. I enjoy the process of turning musical fragments into shareable tracks.

Starting your first session involves laying out your current demos and identifying the strongest hooks. We identify exactly where your track needs to go.
I use my engineering background to ensure we are building dynamics effectively across the entire song. Writing over chords becomes simple with a clear plan.
