About Jesse
I am a private and college trained pianist of 24 years with 18 years of performance experience and 9 years combined of music education experience ranging from music administration and choral directing to individual tutoring and private lessons for both piano and vocal. I also have strong skills in sight-reading, perfect pitch, being an accompanist and soloist for a wide variety of music including sacred, classical, contemporary, rock, light jazz, and more. Including my additional experience as a private piano and voice instructor, music administrator, choir director, choir member, vocal soloist, and substitute organist, I bring my array of development to create a personal, tailored, and fun environment for each and every student.

Do you want to learn piano but feel overwhelmed by the music theory and endless techniques that come with it? With my tutoring, learning not only becomes crystal clear and easy to follow, but practice becomes smooth and even fun!
I like to take a hands-on-first approach, where I give students an environment to explore new techniques, new concepts, and allow their minds to soak it in and develop questions while gaining real playing experience at the same time. Like any learner, those questions desire to be answered, which is when we take time to process the theory-side of things, ensuring that these answers and explanations, tailored to suit the needs and perspectives of my students, become meaningful answers that will stay for far longer than the typical cram-school approach would.
