About Maddy
My name is Maddy, and I am an artist and teacher. I have always loved art, and without my fantastic teachers,I am certain I would not be the person I am today. I am a qualified teacher who has worked in London primary and secondary schools, and loved every second of it. Teaching art is a real privilege and I look forward to every lesson. Lessons will be tailored to you and your needs and goals, and I have a very open mind when it comes to creative practice. I am here for your success!

Experienced secondary school teacher, with plenty of experience working with primary aged students. All abilities and experience levels are welcome!
I take an experiential approach to learning in art- mistakes are embraced and I ensure all lessons foster a supportive environment based on each of my student's needs. Lessons can be tailored to GCSE and A level curricula, or freely directed in partnership with the student's personal goals.
I have completed a PGCE in art & design at the Institute of Education, and will gain Qualified Teacher Status in September 2025. The Institute of Education is a world leader for teacher education, so I can guarantee a modern and adaptive teaching approach. I have also recently obtained a first class degree in Fine Art.

Details
Standard rate is £30 per hour. For online sessions, please provide your own materials. You do not need anything fancy and I do not expect you to have specialist materials! We can do a lot with pencils and paper. If you wish to purchase specialist materials, I am more than happy to advise!
(please note that I am temporarily not doing in person lessons!) For in person lessons, I am happy to provide basic materials. If you require/want to try more specialist materials, I will charge an additional fee for providing these, depending on the material!
