About Alison
I graduated from Hunter College with an MFA in painting in 2009. I've been a full-time, professional artist since 2012, with gallery representation in New York, and have exhibited my work all over the world. I'm deeply familiar with the art world, including art schools.

Hi! My name is Alison Blickle, and I've been a full time, professional artist since 2012. I received my MFA from Hunter College in New York- one of the most difficult grad programs to get accepted into. I have gallery representation in New York, which was a direct result of going to Hunter for grad school.
I help students prepare for applying to art school at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Applying to art school is different than academic programs. There are tips and tricks specific to the art school application process that will increase your chances of getting accepted.
We can have one or two sessions together in which I'll look at your portfolio and give you feedback, talk about which schools you're applying to and what to stress in your application essay, as well as general strategy for success.
I also love working together on a longer term basis to help develop your portfolio. I'm a college level instructor in painting and drawing, so I can help you refine your work both technically and conceptually.
I work with people in person in Los Angeles, or over Zoom anywhere.
