About Alexi
Artist | Photographer | PhD Researcher at University of Westminster (CREAM) I navigate the intersection of art, fashion, and critical visual storytelling. After graduating with First Class Photography BA (University of Westminster) and completing a scholarship-funded MA at the Royal College of Art, I’m now returning to Westminster’s Harrow campus as a practice-led PhD researcher exploring the queering of national symbols, especially through staged portraiture and self-portraiture. My visual and pedagogical work is geared towards helping others uncover hidden histories, amplify marginalised voices, and reimagine identity beyond fixed binaries. I continue to exhibit, publish editorial and exhibition portfolios, and engage in social-action collaboration, looking always for work that transforms knowledge and practice into collective understanding. Over the years, I have worked extensively in the creative industries, particularly in portrait, event, and fashion photography. My portfolio includes collaborations with leading figures in fashion, music, and the arts, including Kate Moss, Elsa Hosk, Edward Enninful, Daphne Guinness, Jordan Bridge, Valery Kaufman, and Sofia Resing. My work has been featured in high-profile fashion campaigns, magazine editorials, and international fashion events in both London and Paris. Yet, despite my industry success, I remain deeply committed to my artistic practice and scholar research, continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible within photography.

Camera confidence: exposure you can trust, fast focus workflows, custom button setups. Portraits that hold up at 100%: natural light, reflectors, and studio flash. Composition & editing that travel: from contact sheets and selects to a consistent grading look for print and web. Quick intake: your goals, kit, and a few sample images. Tailored session plan: we pick 2–3 scenarios that match your aims (e.g., backlit portraits, daylight-flash, product still life). Shoot + feedback loop: short drills, immediate review, small adjustments that stick. Takeaway pack: a settings card + a simple workflow you can repeat on your next shoot. Alexi(s) CHAROVAS One to One Tutorials Personal, focused, and built around how you actually learn. My private sessions combine clear demos with hands-on practice, so you leave with skills you can repeat, not just notes. One-to-one teaching consistently outperforms group instruction because feedback, pace, and tasks are tailored to you; classic education research shows large gains for learners under good tutoring conditions.
