About John
Music performance became my full-time focus after years spent on stage and in the studio. I admit that I prefer practical, audible results over abstract theory.
My 270 students have helped me refine a very specific, methodical teaching style. I cover scales, modes, improvisation, and blues progressions for all levels.
Strumming patterns and acoustic technique are central to my curriculum. Grade exam prep and songwriting are also available if you want to sharpen your creative output. This is simply what I enjoy doing most.

Many players struggle to play their favorite songs because they lack simplified arrangements for their current skill level. I admit that I always look for the most efficient way to translate complex recordings into manageable guitar parts. Using my 13 years of experience, I dismantle power chords and melodic lines to make them accessible for every student. My Artist Diploma from Berklee College of Music ensures that every pedagogical choice aligns with solid musical principles.
