About Erin
I have been avidly creating art since childhood! I took watercolor painting lessons from ages 12 to 17. I taught Sunday school for 2 years at my parents' church in high school where I came up with crafts for preschoolers to complement weekly lessons. I minored in visual arts in college where I dedicated my learning to oil paint and drawing in various mediums. I have regularly babysat kids from the ages of 3 months to 13 years. I started in high school, but even as an adult I've had regular babysitting jobs, simply because I love engaging with kids. I am currently taking a hiatus from my professional work (data engineering) to spend time creating art.

I'm very passionate about the idea that creativity is a muscle that needs to be exercised and flexed for it to become strong.
Everyone started out drawing stick figures. I'm here to foster an environment where kids feel safe to explore different artistic ideas, from the beginning and beyond.
I'd love to talk with a child to see what they're initially interested in and tailor projects from there. I can introduce new visual art forms along the way, but they are in the driver's seat. Art projects will be catered to what they're interested in. We will exercise creativity and build skills that allow for artistic evolution.
