About Breanna

My name is Breanna, and I am an experienced early childhood education professional with more than eight years of experience working with children, families, and educators. I currently serve as an Assistant Director at a preschool in Denver, Colorado, where I support student learning, family engagement, teacher development, and behavior support initiatives.

I hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and a B.S. in Child Studies that reflect my commitment to professional growth and excellence in education. I am also completing my Bachelor's degree in Child Studies and preparing for doctoral study in School Psychology, with a focus on child development, learning, and educational success.

Throughout my career, I have worked with children across a variety of ages, abilities, and learning styles. My experience includes supporting academic growth, social-emotional development, school readiness, study skills, and positive learning behaviors. I understand that every student learns differently, and I take pride in creating supportive, individualized learning experiences that help students build confidence and reach their goals.

Students and families can expect professionalism, reliability, patience, and clear communication. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking academic risks, and developing the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.

My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become confident, independent learners who feel capable of tackling new challenges.

About the lesson

Hello! My name is Breanna, and I am an Assistant Director at a preschool with more than eight years of experience in early childhood education. My background includes working directly with children, supporting families, coaching teachers, and helping students develop the skills they need to succeed both academically and socially.
My teaching approach is student-centered, encouraging, and individualized. I believe every learner is capable of success when instruction is tailored to their unique strengths, interests, and learning style. Rather than focusing solely on memorization, I help students build confidence, critical thinking skills, organization strategies, and a genuine understanding of the material.
A typical lesson begins with identifying the student's goals and current level of understanding. From there, I provide direct instruction, guided practice, and interactive activities designed to reinforce concepts in an engaging way. I regularly check for understanding and adjust my teaching methods as needed to ensure students feel supported and successful.
What sets me apart is my extensive experience in child development and educational psychology. I understand how children learn and develop across different ages and stages, allowing me to adapt my instruction to meet each student's individual needs. My professional experience working with children from preschool through school age has given me strong skills in building positive relationships, supporting diverse learners, and creating a comfortable learning environment.
I offer tutoring and academic support for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, including reading support, study skills, organization, homework assistance, learning strategies, and academic confidence building. I also provide support for college students enrolled in education, psychology, and child development courses, including assistance with academic writing and APA formatting.
My goal is to help every student develop the confidence, skills, and motivation needed to become a successful and independent learner.
