About Fengchun
Board of Director of Texas Chinese Language Teachers Association. Assistant Professor of Chinese at University of Texas at Arlington. I am up to date in Chinese teaching methods and technologies. Have taught all levels of Chinese courses from novice to AP. Taught high school full time for four years in Texas. Owned a Chinese school, taught students from Kindergarten to 8th grade, including heritage speakers. Before moving to the U.S., I have taught at China Women's University, worked as a Reporter, Columnist and an Editor (nationally certified) for a national newspaper in Beijing, China. I was the appointed trainer for Beijing government employees in Business Writing. Graduated from one of the top three teacher training universities in China with a master's degree specialized in Teaching Chinese As a Foreign Language. I have taught all ages and all levels of Chinese language to K-12 and college students in the U.S. Student-centered, personalized and learning with fun are my teaching goals. I utilize various teaching methods to meet individual learning needs and abilities. For younger learners, there will be hands-on and physical movements to immerse them in the culture in order to make the language learning meaningful; for higher levels and adult learners, there will be deeper culture exploration behind the language to deepen their understanding. No one feels bored with my teaching. Satisfaction is guaranteed.
