About Devendra
Hello! I am an Assistant Professor of History with more than 7-8 years of teaching experience at the university level. Having qualified UGC-NET with JRF/SRF and completed my PhD research in Medieval & Modern Indian History, I bring both academic expertise and real classroom experience to my students. My teaching style is simple, clear, and engaging. I explain concepts with stories, visuals, maps, and timelines, making history easy to understand and enjoyable to learn. I always encourage questions, patiently clear doubts, and add interactive moments to keep every class lively and refreshing. Over the years, I have taught school students, undergraduates, postgraduates, and competitive exam aspirants (UPSC, State PSC, UGC-NET). Many of my students have appreciated how I adapt lessons to their level and pace, ensuring they feel confident in tackling both exams and academic challenges. As a published researcher and invited subject expert, I also help learners improve their research and analytical skills, not just their textbook knowledge. My goal is to make every student see history not as a burden of facts, but as a subject full of meaning and inspiration. If you are looking for a teacher who is professional, approachable, and passionate about sharing knowledge, I would be happy to guide you. Together, we will make history come alive for you.

Teaching techniques and methods: With over 7-8 years of teaching at the university level, I focus on making history interactive and engaging rather than just theoretical. My methods include clear explanations, use of visuals (maps, timelines, charts), storytelling, and connecting historical events with present-day relevance. I strongly believe that when students understand the “why” behind history, learning becomes natural and enjoyable. Usual structure of a class: Each session begins with a short recap to connect previous lessons with the new topic. I then break the subject into simple, understandable parts, using examples, stories, and sometimes humor to keep the class lively. After the main explanation, I dedicate time for doubt clearance, discussion, and quick revision activities. If needed, I add short interactive exercises or Q&A to test understanding. Special features as a teacher: I am known for my student-friendly approach, patience, and ability to simplify complex topics. I also bring a human touch to my teaching with light humor and refreshing moments that help students stay attentive. My classes are not just about covering the syllabus but also about building critical thinking and analytical skills. For whom the classes are intended: School students who want to strengthen their foundation in history Undergraduate and postgraduate students looking for academic depth Exam aspirants (UPSC, State PSC, UGC-NET, etc.) preparing with focused study Adults and lifelong learners who are passionate about Indian history
